Steady Foundations is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that steps in early, while a problem is still small enough to fix.
Most instability does not begin with a dramatic event. It begins with something ordinary and unaffordable: a furnace that fails in January, a transmission that goes on the way to a shift, a utility bill that arrives in the wrong week. Left alone, each of those turns into something far more expensive — an eviction, a lost job, a family displaced.
We fund the small solution instead, and we try to do it before the expensive version happens.
What we stand for
Prevent crises
We act early. A roof leak is cheaper than a mold remediation; a brake job is cheaper than a lost job. Getting there before the cascade starts is the whole point.
Restore stability
We provide solutions, not paperwork. Where we can, we pay the contractor, the utility or the training provider directly, so the problem is actually fixed rather than merely funded.
Build partnerships
We accomplish more together. Vetted contractors, employers and training providers let every dollar go further than it would on its own.
Treat people with dignity
Always. We verify a need; we do not interrogate anyone about it. Nobody has to prove they deserve help, and nobody has to trade their story for it.

What we fund
How a request works
Individuals apply directly or are referred by a community partner. We review the situation, verify the need, and fund or coordinate the right solution. There is no caseworker requirement and no particular form of words you need to use.
Our status
Steady Foundations is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. How we handle the information you share with us — particularly in a request for help — is set out in our privacy policy.
